Sylvester Stone and Nicole Frank: TWE Fall/Winter 2017

“I gave birth to my daughter, discovered Lululemon, and slowly started living in those clothes out of comfort. I knew there had to be an alternative where fashion could still be stylish and elegant yet comfortable,” says fashion designer Nicole Frank.

Finding that balance between fashion and comfort for the on-the-go modern woman is exactly what Frank accomplished with the launch of Nicole Frank: The Wardrobe Evolution, Fall/Winter 2017. The launch of this chic ‘60s inspired line was held at the ultra luxe West Hollywood hotspot SkyBar at the Mondrian Hotel on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Attendees enjoyed a great night of stunning LA views, signature VIVA XXX II Tequila cocktails, light hors d’oeuvres, and of course the chance to view Frank’s collection on the models who mingled with invited guests throughout the night.

Frank emphasized the importance of the women in her family who raised her and how they all played integral roles in shaping the person she is today. Women who inspired the designer to pursue dreams of creating her own fashion business. Frank graduated from the University of Southern California’s esteemed entrepreneur program and hit the ground running with her first business venture, manufacturing handbags for women and children. Fast-forward to today and after lots of hard work, she has successfully launched her first fashion collection.  This Nicole Frank fashion line is not only a labor of love, but also a testament to the incredible women who raised her. “I was raised by strong, independent women who had great style and busy careers in film and fashion,” says Frank. “Their style was engrained in the effortless elegance of the ‘60s and I wanted to capture that for women today who constantly are tasked with the demands of their always changing busy schedules.”

It wouldn’t be an exclusive  Hollywood event without at least a couple of celebrity guest appearances. The night’s festivities had acting legend Sylvester Stallone and actresses Cassie Scerbo, and Katrina Bowden in attendance. It’s not every day you see megastars like Sylvester Stallone around, so it was quite the treat to see him at the launch of the Nicole Frank Wardrobe Evolution.

The trend this season is all about lavish textiles, architectural silhouettes, intricate details and sleek tailoring. Nicole Frank incorporated all these elements as well as menswear fabrics like tweed and plaid to create juxtaposition against the classic female silhouettes throughout her collection. The brand’s tagline, “The Wardrobe Evolution” represents the constant evolution of women’s roles in society and how fashion progresses along with it. Versatility was a key element within the line from the boardroom to a ballet recital, the Nicole Frank collection is adaptable enough to adjust to a woman’s busy schedule throughout the day. The fabrics are all machine washable, stain repellant, moisture wicking and breathable, proving that you really don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort.

“I am so thrilled to launch my first collection. My goal is to inspire women and encourage confidence by offering smart wardrobe options that won’t limit their activities or abilities,” says Frank.  With closet staples like the Helen Dress that has a classic A-line silhouette and interchangeable sleeves and hemline, and the perfectly tailored and figure flattering Esther Jumpsuit, we can’t get enough of the line, and can’t wait to see what the future holds for brand.
