Q&A With Fashion Designer, Nicole Frank: The Wardrobe Evolution

We sat down with Creative Director, Nicole Frank, to discuss her inspiration and the brand’s tagline “The Wardrobe Evolution” to find out just how the brand is reinventing your go-to closet staples.

PPLA: Why did you want to start this line?

NF: To make women’s lives easier, more versatile, and more comfortable while still looking fashionable.

PPLA: Who was your inspiration?

NF: The simple aesthetic of the 1960s combined with the needs of the modern multitasking woman.

 PPLA: What do you hope your consumer will take away from the brand, and how do you want to be perceived as a fashion line?

NF: I want to be known for providing women with a high-quality practical comfortable fashion forward solution to their everyday lives. I want to help today’s woman by adapting to her busy lifestyle and having quality long lasting garments for their wardrobe.

PPLA: Are you clothes made here in the US?

NF: My main fabric is sourced from a BluSign approved factory in Switzerland while the zip-ons and knits are sourced from the US.

PPLA: How do you keep your prices affordable for your demographic of the young, modern working woman? 

NF: My direct to consumer business model eliminates the middle man so I am able to offer my pieces at a more affordable price. 

PPLA: What can we expect to see next from Nicole Frank?

NF: Fresh wearable colors that look good with everyone’s skin tone. Fabulous new styles that make you feel like wonder woman!  More fun, flirty, luxurious zip-ons that take your outfit from day into night.

PPLA: What do you want your brand to be known for? What’s your motto?

NF: Empowering modern women to feel confident from coffee to cocktails! 

PPLA: If you could dress anyone in Hollywood, who do you see as a fit for your line? 

NF: Jessica alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lisa Vanderpump, Mila Kunis, Gal Gadot, Chrissy Teigen, Jennifer Garner, Sienna Miller, Nicole Kidman.

PPLA: What are your most popular items and why?

NF: The Esther jumpsuit because it’s an empowering piece of clothing. It’s a no-brainer. Easy to put on, where all day, go out at night, and still feel like a superhero. The Nicole blazer is also a favorite because it’s traditional but Unlike anything you have in your closet….and with the interchangeable collar and sleeves it can become anything you want it to be! 

PPLA: What makes this fashion line stand out among the competition?

NF: It’s the embodiment of today’s woman. Strong, resilient, fearless, and hard-working. It’s totally unique in form and function and faces the challenge of today’s female leaders.
